Wheel Fitment doesn´t look good

I am currently using Turbo Twist wheels with spacers (2" rear, 1" front) on my early 911 with Turbo body conversion and I am thinking about buying a set of wheels which do not require spacers.
But first, I want to clarify something that has been bothering me since I completed my body conversion. The front wheels do not seem to fit correctly with the fender lip.

In my opinion they should sit more to the outside of the wheel well, but that would affect the track width too much! So what is wrong with my setup: the fenders are too wide... or I need larger spacers?

This is important for me to determine the right offset for the new wheels.

I have taken some pics and I am also posting some drawings to try to explain the issue.

I would appreciate your opinions on this. Thanks

It looks as if you need spacers

Sorry, but the front flare does not look right.

those flares are not quite right. They almost look like rears put on the front.

The more I look at it the more it looks like someone put the rear flares on the front and the fronts on the rear or possibly backwards? Tried to find a good pic to explain, but just for a quick ref. look at this:

But, the front fenders are full fiberglass fenders, no flares installed. I replaced the fenders myself. might these be just wrongly built fender?

Did you buy them new from Getty? They look as if someone has modified them for very wide wheels.

regards,
Phil

Mount the rears on the front and see how it looks. If it fill it up buy 2 rears and run a square setup, just noticed the car is an early car so maybe a 295 on the front with no power steering is not a good idea, never mind.

the front flares are definately too wide, wider than the rear a lor, but I think with some spacers you can pull it off, if it doesn't rub when turning.

Those front fenders dont quite fit in if you had standard 930 fronts the wheel fit would be fine I think. Getty design is not for the faint of heart.

+5.. Those fronts just look completely wrong. The lip should be close to 90 degrees. This is a horrible picture but you can see the angle and the entire front end is all fiberglass..

go back to who you bought them from and swiftly beat them about the head and shoulder regions of their body , for they know not what they are doing ...

sawzall in a trained hand and a lot of body work , or repop fenders about the only choices ...

make sure to view a set of the new ones installed first and then verify thats what you have in hand before mounting and painting another set , i hope those aren't from GETTY , did you fleabay those ? and was Getty-ish or Getty-esk in the title ...

good luck
