Sounds like a realist, but the "obo" leaves quite the "wiggle room"...At least worth a look.

The "convertible" might also be a targa.

I'm expecting it is a Targa. I will try to check it out this weekend. If its interesting, I'll get the VIN and engine number to find out what we might have.
Thanks, Troy

The same ones that would call it 2WD in their ad.

Well, technically speaking, a Targa is a "convertible." And so is a "cabriolet."

sounds like the seller doesn't have a strong familiarity with the car. It could either be a diamond in the rough, or a "Tweaker Special".
I'd have a look at it. Heck, it's a '71 for $8K obo.

Less brakes, more gas!

Hi Guys,
All I can say is "yikes!". It was a 71 but the guy had put a full "930" body kit on it, which he was very proud of. I didn't want to mess with it. Troy

I couldn't bring myself to photograph the carnage. Too graphic.
At least its a steel conversion. Says the engine has 15K miles after a rebuild. I think he bought it on a whim in Hollywood. The cost of making a poor example nice is daunting. He just wants out. Nice guy. Troy

Cars.com stroke Washington Post online make those insertions "obligatory" (convertible and 2WD) in their system. I bet it's just a Targa with flairs. Sounds like a good deal to me...
