Replacing Fuse Block

Guys,

As I have been having electrical issues, I plan on replacing my fuse box this weekend. Unfortunately, I believe the current wiring was jacked by the PO and I do not time to get a bentley manual.

Cold someone please post pictures for a 78 911 or point me in the direction of good schematics?

Does somebody have a schematic for the fuse box. I have the old one off and I would like to wire the box back to the stock set-up

Let us know how big a job this turns out to be. What are you replacing it with? I have had several fuses which look good, but were the problem and should do the same project. Thank, Glenn

Thanks for the info guys, I have finished replacing the block. The PO used a a 12 fuse block and totally rewired everything. After replacing witha stock one everything seems to workk correctly --- except my turn signals arn't working.

It seems the two fuses for the turn signals do not have power. I used a test light on both and neither had power (with engine running. Any ideas???

Some of the fuse positions have a brass jumper built into the back side of the fuse block. Did you make certain that you have the correct fuse block? On my SC, there are a couple of fuses that have a power jumper wire running from the "top" side of a hot fuse to the "top" side of other fuse postions. If you know which fuses work the turn signals, you probably could just run a power jumper to those locations. On the SC fuse box. there is a red power wire running to the "top" of fuse #11 that (according to the factory wiring schematic) is from the "electronic ignition unit". Also, there is a red jumper wire running from there to the "top" of fuse #16. According to my schematic, fuse #11 is the one for the back up lamp switch and for the turn signal relay. Fuse postions #9 and 10 are associated with the hazard flasher. The fuse numbers are counting from the front of the car towards the back. Hope this will help you some.
