Looking for Optimum 3.2 Ignition Map
I recently upgraded my 3.2 to a turbo and need more control over engine tuning. This week I started the installation of an aftermarket EFI (megasquirt). I will be needing to setup an ignition map. I have seen some great postings by Scarceller that show the stock '89 ignition map. However, it is a 3D graph and I can't get the actual advance values for each of the RPMs / loads from that graph.
I am hoping that someone who has done some tuning/experimentation can share a map that has worked well for them. I realize the map at boost levels will be pure experimentation, but I also spend a lot of time off boost and want an optimum advance curve at 0" of vacumm and below to give me back the characteristics that I had when I had Steve Wong's chip in the car (had to pull it in favor of the Proto chip to get the lower advance curve for hte turbo). If anyone can share what has worked for them, I would really appreciate it. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to share it publicly. Thanks for your assistance. Larry |
