Pertronix. Pleasantly pointless.

Product endorsement:

Installed Pertonix 1866 in my 67. (Non CD, conventional ignition).

Wow!

What a difference.

As if for the first time, I have full spark at every hole, under all driving conditions.

Starts better, idles better, runs better, picks up better, goes better.

Had a stumble down low and a high end miss with points. Thought it may be spark, may be Webers, may be both.

Now, all gone.

Very ready to, "never change points again." Or buy points. Or gap points, or wonder about the condition of points.

A large tuning variable eliminated.

Very impressed with the performance, simplicity and ease of installation. If you're on the fence about making the switch, I vote yes.

Just installed in my '72T. Same commentary as above.

I installed a Crane unit in my 911 in '98. Still going strong (knock on wood).

Pertronix from PO on my 68S, no problems and works well. Nice not having to mess with the whole thing. Makes timing so much easier!
