W3DPO vs W5DPO
The last time I purchased plugs for my 70 / mfi Pelican was offering up the W3DPO as the direct replacement. But now I see the W5DPO is offered as the replacement. I know the 3 is colder than the 5 - Is Pelican finding the hotter 5 a better application for most driving situations?

JMHO, but the W5DPO's are the preferred plug for all-around use.
3's are appropriate for racing and/or wide-open running, at high RPM for extended periods of time.

Also depends on your local climate.
Here in South Florida 3dpo plugs work perfectly in a 930 with no carbon buildup problems and being the coldest platinum plug available they are less likely to cause detonation in the summer here than any other spark plug. They're just expensive. |

the W3 is for a turbo or high compression engine.
