In the same place, a little bit fiddly........try not to shut it down tight 1st time
coz you wont be able to open it again.
Unless you get it right 1st time......an hour of messing with it and 3 years later still works fine

The drive to the shop was fun I had not driven the car on public roads since October of last year, but I am making sure everything is secured correctly. I have my mechanic checking everything on the car and wiring the headlights. My mechanic is a perfectionist so he is alligning the front end for pannel fit and then I can get the car back and clean it and take some beauty shots.

Wow Baltic Blue..........hum......My '76 targa has morphed in a similar direction. Turbo fenders, Duck Tail and now with IROC bumpers F/R and a F/G hood it is crying out for paint.
Started out as Minerva Blue but....where did you get the paint!

I just searched for the baltic blue paint code and had a local automotive paint supplier mix a can. About $250 for just a can of paint with enough to do the entire car.

I need to do something about my exhaust. It needs to come straight out instead of at that angle.

Lookin good! Where are the REAL pictures?!! I can't wait to see the paint in a quality photo or two.
Did you do anything with the exhaust?
I have had 3 different ones on mine, including a straight through set up that we home built that made an X across the back..........WAY too loud and this is a track only car!

Exhaust is a Monty which I have not touched yet but I need the pipes to be straight instead angled. Here are two pics taken with a real camera

HI,
This is my favorite post to date!! You see, I am doing the same thing with a '70 E and was beginning to think that I was nuts because I was not able to find other examples from which to draw inspiration. I have found it.
Right now, my car is in enough pieces that a picture wouldn't help to much. However, once I have it mocked up, I will be sure to post some pictures.
If anyone wants to stay in touch, my e-mail address is ylboyer@rcn.com
Thanks,
tim

I had a great weekend driving the car started by my shakedown run at the track on Friday. I am amazed at the # of compliments I have been getting with it at stoplights etc.. My most common question is (what year is it)? I dont know anymore!! 73 style body on a 78 targa with an 89 motor. Yes a real photoshoot will follow.
