Best exhaust for a 993 engined 1973 RSR replica ?
Title says it all.
I am looking for the best solutions to a 993 engined RSR 73 look 911 that we are building Any ideas on a good system or rear silencer ? Who makes one that fits an RSR rear bumper ? |

Keep the heat exchangers and get a M&K muffler designed to connect to them.
Optionally, could get a two in- two out Porsche sport or other stock style muffler. Remove stock in pipes and fill. Then put custom in pipes from the 993 HE to the bottom of the stock muffler can to fit. I saw a picture of someone doing this on Pelican and it will look very correct. Might just check if there are a set of European Headers by George that fit on a 993. Add readily available connector pipes and use any stock style >75 Porsche muffler. Otherwise, check with Brian (RarlyL8) here about his new SS shorty equal length headers to work with a stock style muffler. Last edited by 911st; 10-18-2009 at 06:27 AM.. |

My headers are available in 964/993 flange configuration. Equal length primaries are available in 1.5", 1.625" and 1.75". Design is similar to RSR. Will fit common dual in mufflers such as M&K.

The std solution is either stock 993 or a set of headers plumbed to either a Flowmaster or Dynomax crossflow muffler

Guys the car will be daily driven, so I need to keep the stock heat exchangers. I guess the M&K is the only way to go ?
