M14 Flared Fule Hose Fitting

I need to find a barbed end M14x1.5 fitting for a fuel vent line on one of my cars. Porsche no longer makes the line.
Anyone have any ideas? It is a 10mm vent line that has frayed. It has a hose clamp on one end and an M14x1.5 female fitting on the other to connect to a hard line. I am trying to avoid splicing into a 30 yeard old rubber line.

Try BAT Inc.. They're in Sarasota. They carry Mocal metric AN fittings and adapters.

I'd propose changing the rubber at the same time. Use rubber or braided stainless hose from Earl's. Why chance a fire hoping 30 year old rubber will hang together?

Pelican has nice braided german vent line, too. It might be 8mm in size.

Go to a shop that makes hydraulic hoses.

They may have the fitting already or they can make it by cutting two fittings and brazing the two halves you need together. If you like, they can even swege on a rubber line to eliminate the clamp. They should be able to supply replacement gasoline compatible pressure hose as well.

Should cost you less than $20.

Here's what is look like. I can splice into the rubber with new line, it' the clamped end that is messed up, but I'd rather avoid that. Also, the rubber is real brittle. It is a female M14x1.5 flare fitting.

I looked at BAT and Pegasus and no luck.

If you have the part, like I said before, go to a local hydraulic shop. They will get you fixed up with fresh rubber sweged onto your old fitting in 15 minutes.

Bring your fuel line with fittings and they could easily fabricate a replacement fuel hose under $20. I had one made for me with new metric fittings approx. 36 long and cost me under $20. PM me, I might have some extras at home.

Do you want another barbed M14x1.5 female flare fitting, so you can have one on each end of the new line you are making? I think what you want may be here:

Or do you just want to make up a new line with just one end with a fitting? If that, why not do what Harry suggests?

I'll 2nd or 3rd ...using a hydraulic hose place. I had "Hoseman" out here in CA put together new lines for my SC. I bought the BMW high pressure hose from Pelican and took it to the shop. They did the whole job in under an hour for $50 or so. The just carefully grind/cut off the old ferrels and then re-use your fittings with the new rubber hose.

I did have to look around a bit for someone who would do it...several shops didn't want the "liability" because there swaging dies weren't able to do metric fittings...c'mon think of all of the metric stuff on Hyundai forklifts you've probably done...whatever.

You will be much safer with new rubber.

The female barbed fitting above costs $5 plus postage.

I recently made up this fuel filter adapter for a 73 T w CIS.......

I have a complete line of Porsche fuel & oil fittings and METRIC braided hose, and make up custom hose assys to order.

I do not have a catalog, but have most of the fuel or oil fittings needed on a Porsche.

Some special fittings I have made locally.

Best is to email me w thread size & dimensions & a photo of the hose or fitting you need.
