Engine serial numbers

Can someone point me to a table that would show the engine serial number and what the displacement would be ?

There isn’t any one table for everything.

Please post the engine number (you can put three ‘X’ for the last three digits).

It needs to be:
For a Porsche automobile
Porsche model (and year if known)
Engine type (flat six, etc.)

From that (or whatever part), we can probably give you every last detail of the engine as originally delivered.

Best,
Grady

You can buy the little tech book "Porsche Technical Specifications" for your year veh. 76/77. But to answer your question about engine displacement, you have a 2.7 S with 165 HP. ( 2687cc )
