early rotor into 77 distributor with pertronix?
I want to put an early 911s rotor into my recurved 77 distributor. This will give me a 7300 rpm cutout rather than the 6500 or whatever it is now.
My gearing is such that at 2 tracks that I run at I am on the rev limiter through 2 of the corners and if I upshift, I lose time. My engine is a 9.5:1 2.7 RS build so I will benefit from the higher revs. When I tried to install a new old stock S rotor, it rubbed on the pertronix pickup and the car barely ran. Are the new ones pelican sells able to fit with the pertronix?

Just bend the tab out on the T rotor so it cuts out where you want it.

grind the outside of the base narrower to clear the pertronix.
