911SC Vin Code and Color Code
Before I take apart my newly acquired SC to make into a parts whore since I'm robbing the engine, transmission and other vital organs I have some questions about the Vin Code that I hope someone can answer.
The Windshield pillar and Title both say WPOAA0913DS5120818 The stamp on the chassis in the trunk area sats WPOZZZ912DS120818 There is a sticker on the inside right fron fender that I think is the paint code. It says 811 9 3 ZIEGELROTMETAILK X3 All of the glass is Sekurit except for the windshield which is marked Sunshine Solex Duplate. I think the PO said the windshield was replaced because he broke it while putting in Racing seats. The wheels which look like 8 and 7 inch Fuchs are 15's and rattle canned with black paint. Tires are nearly new Michelin Pilots and are 205/60/15's and 215/60/15's. I think the Fuchs may be replica's or fakes. The paint which looks to be original everywhere I look including far into the door post absesses and trunk and engine area is a kind of a Coppery Brownish Red. I think it may be commonly referred to as Peru Red. I'm an early 911 and 356 guy so I don't know much about these cars. Is the power brake booster located in the trunk a SC item? The car has some significant performance upgrades and carries a Carerra script in the back along with a Whale Tail and Carerra Side Decals but I belirve these are just items the PO put on to look cool. Couldn't find the fuel pumb. A big line come directly out of the firewall and into the L PMO. Anothe line goes from the L PMO to the R PMO. The gas tank looks like all the plumbing is vent and fume control related. Is the fuel pump under the gas Tank? Seperate thread will be posted on the 3.6 engine. Thanks for all your help. Bill

You got some typos in your VIN info...
The difference between "ZZZ" and "AAO" is OK... Fuel pump should be at the rear of the tank (with carbs all bets are off!)... All SCs have the brake booster/master cylinder together in the trunk, behind the left rear corner of the gas tank...

Also, the 811 is the paint code. The "9" means it was painted at the porsche factory, and the "3" means Herberts brand paint was used.

Thanks for the help and quick responses. I guess I need to use my reading glasses when looking at the numbers. I typed them as I write them down. Will check again in the AM. What is the thing with the ZZZ and the AAO, even though they are OK?

Brick Red Metallic seems right from the description.

The chassis stamp in the trunk is the original factory stamping. When the car became a USA car, it received a USA VIN (sequential number is the same as you can see). If it would have ended up as a ROW (rest of world) car, the original ZZZ number would have been used.
