Installing Bilstein Insert

I've pulled the Boge inserts out of my front strut on the '87 Carrera. When replacing with Bilstein HD's, do I have to reuse the plastic shield from the Boge insert between the rubber bumper and the strut cartridge cap? Any other Boge parts need to be reused? Do all the strut internal rubber bushings remain in the strut? Thanks,

you use nothing from the boge setup. gut the strut, suck out the fluid and install the bilstein with the provided threaded collar. the bilstein has it's own snubber.
