return to stock
Can this rear be returned to stock easily? It is a 67 912. I realize removing the flares would be involved but am most interested in the area between the tail lights.

Yes, that is just an "update" panel, can be replaced easily as long as the bumperette mounts are OK. I had one on my car when I got it.

yes it can be returned to stock. i just threw one of those update things away...off of an otherwise excellent 72T.

The center panel is easy, just bolted in as others indicated. Repro panel available from our host here Pelican Parts - Product Information: SIC-505-023-20
The flares are more difficult, some cutting and welding involved. Removing the tail will involve patching the lid or replacing.
