Help finding random switch
Hi All,
I have an idea for my project's inner door handles. I want to have the trigger to open the doors from the inside of the car, hidden under a leather arm rest. I've imagined the type of trigger needed and drawn the following rough picture. Can anybody think of a car that had a part like this? It'd be similar to the knobs you slide to recline the seats in an SC or 3.2 Carrera, but flat. Thanks, Adam

![]() Doesn't even really need to be spring loaded, since the OEM door handles aren't.

What about looking at a "builder's hardware" catalog.

isn't builder's hardware more like... home door handles and taps?
I found this handle from a 360. Although not really ideal mechanically, the appearance is sort of what i'm after. I guess having the trigger pivot rather than slide would be ok too. Also, very pricey... Anybody know about anything similar to this? Having less of a surround would be better too... ![]()

Not necessarily... If you get into expensive cabinet hardware there's a lot of different kinds of latches and pulls. I was just trying to get you to think out side of the box. A machinist could make this part. I appreciate you would like an exotic solution for a cheap price. The surround of the above part could be cut down to meet your needs. I think you're going to have to do some retro fitting to any part you get to fit your requirements. That is the fun part...
