Thermotime switch differences
I have an '86 930 and broke my thermotime switch when replacing my air intake tube. Pelican tells me that my car takes a special switch which must be ordered out of Germany and could take weeks to get if one can be found. 930s up until 1985, all SCs and MFI cars take the same switch and I am wondering if any one can shed light on what makes the '86 version so special. ( The thermotime switch is located in the drivers timing chain cover and completes the ground - supplying power to the cold start injector during starter engagement)
I can always wire up a momentary switch to engage the cold start valve if necessary, but would rather replace the switch if possible. Can anyone help, Thanks much
