Help Identifying gearbox

Hello Guys,

Am I correct in thinking this is a G50 from a 1987 911 3.2 Carrera

no is 950301102 3R and the engine no he gave me was 63H***** so motor is definately a 3.2 1986/87 I think

What you have posted there is a casting number off of one of the cases. If you flip it over and look at the rib on the bottom side there should be a serial number stamped on it starting with G50. It is a G50/01 from a 3.2l Carrera based on the picture, but if you post the complete serial number we can tell you if it's an LSD unit or not.

It has 50/00 stamped on the underneath, below is another photo how does one tell if it has lsd or not?

What follows that g50/00 next? That's not the whole number.

You can also spin a flange and see what direction the opposite one turns to see if there's an LSD in there. An LSD will have the opposing flange spinning the same direction.

thanks ,looks like 73H after that and then I need to clean it up a bit to see the balance of the numbers clearly
