Looks very nice!
Santa has been busy recently
Any issues with yours? Did you get a PPI?

Don't know if mine has issues yet. Has rust under the headlights though... the rest seems okay. I pick it up next week.

What's a PPI? Where do you get one? Is it shiny?

Very nice - right colour and all!! You will find there are quite a few Sydney people on here - look in the New Zealand / Australia Forum. Many of us are also members of the Porsche Club of NSW, where you will meet a lot of fine people.

PPI = Pre Purchase Inspection. Kinda important - I made the mistake of not having one done and ended up buying a car that needed $12k of work on engine and trans. These cars need an expert eye over them.

As for a mechanic - there are many in Sydney - most are very good, some more expensive than others. There is a list at the top of the New Zealand / Australia forum.

The car looks nice - black is a great colour for an SC in my opinion. I second Tim - PCNSW is a great club particularly if you're keen to get out on the track and see what she'll do!

It sounds like you have a bit of a modifying bug already too, a good thing as these cars respond very well to some tweaking. I am Sydney based and could probably help you out with some bits and pieces.

Cheers,

Welcome & enjoy your new toy. I had mine for a year now and could not be happier.

Nice car.

Btw I'm not a PCNSW member yet but it's on my list ...

As a newbie to the forums myself, congrats on your first one mate, it will be an obsession kind of like the first time you had sex you just have to keep going back for more .
I have just taken delivery of my second one a 77 US import that I have had rebuilt over the last 8 years as finances allowed. It has been built from ground up to a 964 replica, yes it is all genuine parts. I'll post piccies later as I am about to do a run down Macquarie pass for those that know the Illawarra !
The only issue I have is the fuel sender and gauge are talking to each other, does anyone know of either someone that can get them to talk or a work around. I have used genuine C2 gauges but the fuel sender is original 77.

Really nice, 'cept the wheel is on the wrong side :>) Welcome! Fix issues as they come up and enjoy your car. I am learning as I go (gaining confidence) through the gents on PP. Seems like I always have something on my 'to do' list, but it's OK, I have the time and right now mine is just right, I just need to 'fix it'....

Nice 911! Welcome. It's interesting to see the gauge "arrangement" is still in the same sequence as with the left hand drive (fuel/oil level, temp./druck, tach, speedo and clock to the left) I would have thought the visa-versa? Then again, when ever I dream about Austarlia, I get all upside down, and down right upset we don't have weather like you do. Enjoy it!

Hey, I lived in Colorado Springs back in 1994! Loved the run up to Pike's Peak!

Picked it up today!

Runs well on the highway, but engine goes "lumpy" and wants to stall after an hour or so (temperature is normal).

Looks sweet, Carrera badged lid with a Turbo tail on an SC, I guess it covers all bases!
