I am starting to do more work under my car- an 85 carrera. I have a floor jack that lifts about 22", have appropriate jack stands, etc. That doesn't leave much room under the car- especially when I am trying to use a torque wrench, etc. Any tricks to safely and securely get the car another 6-10" in the air? It would sure make it easier to work under there. Nope, I don't have room for a true lift.
Thanks |

I bought a 6 by 6 post and then cut it into 2 foot lengths,I put two lengths side by side and screwed plywood to both sides of it.I ended up with four of these sturdy plaforms that I can put my jackstand securly on top of if I need that little extra height.
