Question 902 Transaxle with 2.4L Engine

I recently purchased a 2.4L T engine to install in my '68 912.
The first step of the project is to install the engine and work out any mounting and wiring bugs. Secondly, will be the replacement of the 4 speed 902/01 transaxle with a 901 5 speed and the final stage will be modifications to the 2.4. I can see better brakes and larger torsion bars fitting in somewhere as well.

My question is: will the 2.4L clutch/pressure plate/flywheel be compatible with the 902 transaxle and starter?
Can I use the existing throw-out bearing?

It would be great to hear from anyone who has done a 912-6 conversion.
Thanks,
