Design my Rotas for me

I just got a mixed set of Rotas delivered, and I now need to decide how I will finish them. They're all new, I had Zoeb find a set of leftovers/extras/whatever. Therefore. they all currently have the stock paint.

I got 2 flat silvers:

1 RSR with the flat petals:

And one blingy RSR with the polished petals:

Give me suggestions on what to do with these. If you had this selection to start, what would YOU do with them? Should I make them all flat RSR? Make them all flat silver? Start over and make them all black centers? Give the neighborhood kid some crayons and let them go to town?

Oh, does anyone know how the Rota paint compares to the Wurth satin black and flat silver, or has anyone researched the source of the Rota paint to match?

I would do them RSR myself...that would be the easiest to get to match considering the starting point....or all silver....but I would prefer RSR

I like the flat silver, maybe with satin black caps. Or maybe just go the satin blackout

regarding color, I like the second pic. If your car is flashy, then I'ld go with the third pic.

The car is currently silver with black trim, but in the next year/decade I plan to go bright trim, and a dark charcoal/slate grey.

The satin RSR would probably be the easiest to do, and would probably be my first choice (assuming I can do a decent job...).

Knowing me, I'll run them mismatched for the next 5 months anyways

That's the Pelican spirit!

I'd probably take two of them and mount them on the wall outside as garden hose reels.

With that silver, I would go with either all black or the polished petals. If you are planning to change the colour to a darker grey, perhaps slate, then the RSR finish. Are you considering a non-metallic slate grey? I think that would look hot with the RSR. I would avoid the all silver look. Good luck and let us know what you do.

Gun metal gray or something crazy like flat red (lips and all) and maybe paint the two bumper blades to match.

Hey Mike, I think the RSR finish would look great. Second choice would be the polished look.

If you want to come out to sugar land you can slap my RSR finish Rota's on to see how it would look. I'll have the wheels off anyway doing some work. Shoot me a PM if you like. I'll be working on it tomorrow. Click my Garage link to see pics of the wheels on my '68.

The RSR's would be the easiest to do. The guy I had polish mine said it was a lot of work. Sanding with several grits and then polishing.
