1977 911 window regulator

I am trying to remove the power window regulator from my 1977 911s coupe. I need to repair a few mounting holes that have imploded. I was using Wayne's 101 projects book, which states to remove the bolts holding the regulator and move everything around to then remove the motor. It does not mention removing the window frame from the door. I can't seem to get my assembly to rotate around at all. Any suggestions.

Thanks,

Nathan Presley

Removing the window frame makes that proceedure much easier.

Here's what I did.

Roll window down.
Disconnect battery
Disconnect switches.
Remove door panel.
Remove the speaker.
Remove screws that hold the regulator in place.
With everything loose slide the regulator towards the rear of the car, and disconnect from the window.
Push the window up, and hold/clamp it in the up position.
Rotate the regulator so that the motor screws can be accessed through the speaker hole, and remove the motor.
Rotate the regulator around and slide it through the big hole in the door.

Hope this helps others.
