A few simple ones that probably save you money & may elimiate hazards:

- relay on the headlights (save light switch on steering wheel)
- fuse on gauge lighting (elimiate danger of electrical fire)
- relay on brake switches (saves you from swapping them out all the time)

If your windshield is older, pitted, etc. a fresh replacement is as good as it gets
