Tire Availability Question
I've heard growing concerns about tire availability in 16" diameters. I've also heard that it's getting easier to find performance tires in 15" sizes than 16" sizes. So here is my question: Which of the two sets of wheels below would give me the best selection of performance tires?
16x7 and 16x8 15x7 and 15x8

16-7&8 I run 225&245 street performance tire, not a big selection but can get them.
15-7&8 I run 225&245 but can only get hoosiers in this size which is fine because these are my track wheels. Oh, this is for now, who knows next week!

16x7and 8
205/55 for fronts are readily available. 225/50 for rears seem to be available as well. These can be used in front with the right combination of ride height and alignment. 245/45 is the hard size to come by. The hard part is getting the sizes from one brand. ![]() hey, that's pretty cool-I'm helping Superman.
