Porsche Crest Fixing weak wiper squirt

With all of the melting snow this has become a real issue. I had wiper movement, but no washer spray for a while, even though the reservoir was full. I checked the wiring, etc., and unplugged / replugged the washer motor and it worked pretty well for a while. Now I'm back to it intermittently working and I have to pump the wiper switch on the steering column a few times to get any spray. Spray I do get usually is pretty weak.

What should I check / do to fix it?

Thanks,
David

Someone has a similar problem:
No voltage at windshield washer pump

I'd first check the voltage at the terminal to the pump--it sounds like it is sporadic and when it does have voltage it may be less than 12v, accounting for the weak spray. Let us know what you find.

Also, check the hoses. I had a problem with my headlight washers, and it turned out to be nothing more than a kink in a hose. They're old...they may not be in the best condition.

There are also check valves underneath each nozzle. They are supposed to "hold" washer fluid in the hose and not let it drain back down. One is easy to replace...the other is not so easy. Then again, I replaced the one I could get to and it didn't seem to make that much of a difference.

Are the jets clean? My car does this and pin shoved in the jets fixes the problem for another 12 months.

So I woke up kinda goofy today and for some reason the title to this thread is a perfect "thats what she said". There are these great lines as well:
*Are the jets clean?
*Check the hoses

hehehe....sorry I felt like I had to.
