Question Sorry More 86 930 Problems..Help.

Hello all, I have had the car for a week and I am learning more and more about repairs..lol

Anyway the brights staying on problem should be fixed, just got to finish putting in the dimmer switch. Now 2 more problems have popped up in the last 24 hours.. (I think car was sitting for awhile thats why I am getting all these little problems... )

I turned on the AC to show someone how wonderful it works and nothing! The blower did not come on. So I looked in the fuses this evening and the AC fuse was blown.( #2 )

Simple I thought ..well after replacing the fuse. Still no fan. And the wierd thing is that the little light that shows the doors are locked is lit. ( Scratching my head)
I have read alot of posts about a AC blower in the front that siezes..could this be my problem? Where do I start diagnosis?

Sorry books and manuals still not here..

Any idea of when the AC last worked? Front blower motor probably just seized.

1. First check the connection to the motor.
2. Next, try tapping it a couple of times with the back of a screwdriver (sometimes rattles things enough to unstick motor). 3. Lastly, remove and test connection for voltage and motor for resistance (anyone know what is should be??)

My blower motor was replaced just this year - finally seized completely. I still manage to blow a fuse once in a while though (need to get around to checking voltage draw at the motor - apparently too high).

I only have had the car a week, and I know that the AC worked when I picked it up from the mechanic... Also I know it worked 2 days before I tried it. So you are saying that its the motor up front? Is this the one by the battery or the one by the firewall?

Sorry, I was referring to the Evaporator Blower under the "smuggler's" door at the firewall. I am by no means an AC expert but find that a problem as you described is usually something simple.

You're gonna laugh at this. . . went for a ride today and my AC wasn't working either!!! Simply spun the fuses (main board and those in engine compartment) and did the trick - sometimes a little oxidation will occur if car sits a while.
