Proof there is such a thing as a stupid question

since I like to the type that breaks new ground, here are a couple of really stupid questions...
1. As I have been crawling around the car I noticed that it appears that I do not have a voltage regulator...is this possible? the spot it would be in in the engine area is empty....hmmmm.
2. I am somewhat enamored of the early Nardi wheels...but not the price. I have seen some on Ebay, but before I shine my ass wasting money on something that won't fit, does anyone know what size etc...I would need. What hub and button requirements would I have and does the steering column shround remain?

BTW - anyone catch the Garth concert last night, that was the Airwing I just left...great to see them on TV....had tickets but it was COLD

Chris, you have an updated alternator with built-in regulator. Many people just leave the old one on the panel, I think it's better to just remove it.
Don't know about the Nardi wheel, somebody will.
Missed the concert, got stuck racing Porsche Unleashed on the internet. Fun.

OK, now that you mention it, I do have a receipt from about two years ago for a new alternator, so that would make perfect sense, thanks for the info...gotta say, this board and rennlist make a HUGE difference in owning a classic porsche from just 6 years ago...it is absolutely amazing the knowledge base that is available through some of the old sages not to mention the daily garage sales...Ebay's nice too....thanks yet again...(told you it was a stupid Q)

Hello

1.) Could be somone swaped to a newer unit
2.) Just ask they have the correct hub.
Maybe you use a dished wheel or have a high hub.
356 BT5 - C hub will fit.
1974 on 911 have a longer hub for shrinkle zone hubs.
