Question Idle position switch adjustment

Bentley, Carrera p. 240-21.
1. if the clearance between the throttle linkage and the reversing lever is >1-2mm, how do you adjust it?
2. I don't understand instructions on setting clearance between drag arm and idle switch housing ("D" on p. 240-21). When throttle is closed, the drag arm is resting on the idle switch, holding it down. How can there be a clearance of 0.2 mm? Furthermore, this clearance is set by adjusting the throttle screw ("E" on p. 240-21). But isn't this the same screw you adjust to set throttle plate clearance to 0.04mm (Bentley p. 240-5). How can you have the same screw adjusting two diffferent clearances for two different components?

Hello

Sorry never had seen a Bentleys and it would help to see what is your problem but I´m to lazy to think about it virtually.

The idle switches can be adjustet by moving the carrier on the holder or by turning the set screw. The switch should actuate if the throttle comes down. The switch will retard ignition to boost stable runing at low speeds.

Just wan´t to blow your mail back on the front for all those experts with books out there.

So lets see if a Bently driver is around

Grüsse
