Time to start working on the interior

My interior is leather.. OK Ha ha funny all Porsche interiors are leather unless otherwise altered. No My interior is tan and leather. I need the driver side door glove box and a new dash as mine was beat up by the previous owners anti-theft bar on the steering wheel. I have been looking around and have come up empty.

Where can one get leather interior parts in that deep rich tan leather color.

Mike

Might not be so lucky to find a used dash in good condition. Most of them shrank and warped. Best bet is to have it reconditioned/recovered. 928Leather is one good source i have found or Just Dashes.

Which tan? It would help if you listed the year...

leather has been an extra-cost option since day 1 and still is today.

My guess as far as the description of his color is cork. Just a blind guess.

Here´s a German Dash restoration. They used a glass fibre epoxy resin to fill the cracks
Sanding and recovering resulted in a pretty good result

Nope. That year, the "tan" was a color called Beige.

No my '72 911T COA says black leatherette interior. AKA Vinyl. Seen lots of cloth and vinyl interiors. In fact even when cars had leather seats often the rest of the interior is vinyl. Leather is definitely the exception on older Porsches in my experience.

I am in the middle of a complete leather job on my 75 Carrera Leather Dash ect.(Cork). I was lucky enough that my main issue was the dash, and also lucky that I have a shop that does concours quality work.

75's had the center speaker, no such thing as a "available" cork or tan speaker cover so gonna make one.

While I'm in there all metal window trim and seals replaced and trim being reannodized the correct black.

$$$$$

Also learned that 75 has needle punch carpet which is NLA by everyone, samples coming for next closest thing.

Here are a few before pics:

Not many options when it comes to Cork and leather.

Sorry,

Been a little busy.
So I have seen the vinyl and paint answer and really wanted to try and turn it back to original. I may try to see if a brother in law of mine who owns an upholstery shop can see what he can to do to get the materials. should be interesting.

I will post some picts if I get the materials and start the process. hell I will post the pictures no matter what I do..

cause we all know that we like pictures.
