Who makes the best RS door panels?

I have seen about three different versions of the RS door panels. They are going to my brothers '78sc targa project. I think they are all in the $250 range but who has the best fit/cut/smell?

Thanks,

Capt. Crunch

You do! If you're feeling ambitious you can do it using your old doorcards with material from an upholsterer. Costs a fraction and you get exactly what you want...alcantara, leather, vinyl, anything you want. You can even use your old vinyl as a pattern. All you need is a stapler, some foam and rubber cement.

Agree the Appbiz carpet kit and panels were good, I installed the former in my 71 Targa weekend rally car. I intended to install the Appbiz door panels in the same car but experimented with covering my 81 SC race car door panels and they looked/worked/fit/smelled so good in leather I switched them into the Targa.

Here you go...carpet is appbiz. Excellent kit. I ordered the RS kit, and then glued some closed cell 1/4 inch foam to the backs. It weighs nothing but adds some feel to it.

I made the door panels. They were 83CS cards, I just peeled off the vinyl, traced it onto leather, glued down some foam, and glued/stapled it back down. About 3 hours.

Gratuitous engine shot.

I would reiterate the appbiz service was excellent.

+1 for Appbiz.
I had a cobbler make the door handle straps. Like them better than the 'sporty' red balistic nylon ones.

Another ringing endorsement for App-Biz and his fantastic customer service. If you are a PCA member and you mention Pelican you can get a discount.

Bob at APPBIZ here. Thanks to all of you for your high praise. Much of the credit for our products actually belongs to you guys, the car owners. Many of our products were born as a result of inquiries or suggestions from users of this forum.

Pelican carries most all of our products and we encourage you to purchase from them.
Thanks again
Bob

Has anyone got any pics of the rear of the Appbiz door cards? I'l like to see how well the handles are made and also how the pull cord works for opening the door.

Cheers
