915 Synchro hubs : Which brand ?
Our host carries 2 brands of synchro hubs & sliders :
- Getrag, which is OEM. - Rauch & Spiegel, not OEM, but significantly cheaper. I'm rebuilding a 915 and will need some of those. Does anybody have experience with the "cheaper" ones ? Can the parts be mixed (e.g stock slider with Rauch & Spiegel hub) ? Is the quality the same ? If Rauch & Spiegel is not OEM, is the 915 synchro market big enough for an aftermarket player to make money out of those highly specialized parts ? Regards, -Guillaume |

Be careful. There's cheap things that are not much of a risk because they're easy to replace if they go bad sooner than expected. 915 slider hubs and sleeves are not something that I say fits that description..... I'd go with the Getrag
