Alpine SEC-8058 Security System
I just bought my first Porsche, a 1988 911 Carrera. It has an Alpine SEC-8058 Vehicle Security System installed but there is no operations manual. I have contacted Alpine and they no longer service the product. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial on its use? I suspect it works, but before I go pressing the buttons to experiment, I like to get just a bit of info.
I have enjoyed browsing the forum and know that it will be a great source of info for me in the future. |

Welcome to the forum. Pictures of the car are customary to introduce yourself.
 We like to see the cars we get to help with. I am biased to the 88. Good year...You could try this site. Download Installation Manuals, Owners Manuals, Tech Tips and Diagrams - Page 3 I have not used it but does seem to have at least a programming manual.

When i bought the wife's care that had the alpine alarm, i went to the alpine website to get the instructions. They still may be available through the site. I know the alarm only lasted a few years before it crapped out. Probably why alpine stopped selling this product!
