I'll throw my thoughts in as well.....

AC/DC rules!!! No questions at all.......(with hard crunchy tires and the car in the shop, I'm safe, for now)

Yes, Beach Boys close second and the soundtrack to a Heavy Metal as a chaser... Can't wait to get the car back and the stereo swapped out. Then I'll be able to practice what I'm preaching.

Such a modivating thread...

Love AC/DC. Can't go wrong there.

SRV's version of Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) turns my motor.

Just be thankful you were only listening to AC/DC, not Golden Earring - "Twilight Zone"

Whats wrong with Golden Earring. I love classical.

You need to enter the modern world, LOL. AC/DC??? :)

Try some Sisters of Mercy, Ramones, Bauhaus, Joy Division.....

What Keith Richards listens to when he wants to rock:

When everybody else in music was putting on makeup and face paint, these guys were putting stripped down, straight ahead rock riffs, kinda like the RSRs of the rock world.

I would submit, Angus can hold his own with Eddie VanHalen, Jimmy Page, and even Duane Allman when he puts down a blues lick.

So the Ramones, a bunch of dead guys, represent the modern world?

CCM911 03-11-2015 06:16 AM

Out on the B.C. Grand Prix course, Bon Scott is wailing no traffic to speak of, just getting the tires warm, come up on a '15 Mustang who was tailgating a '14 Mini S. Think, it ain't worth the hassle sweating the line up. The Mini pulls over and the Mustang thinks he will reun away from the car behind him. Wick it up a bit and get the brakes warm, Mustang pulls on the straights, don't care, the twisties line up and El Chup is grooving nicely, Mini in trail, modest pace. Mustang pulls over and tucks in close, don't need no tailgating, start running through the corners, connect 3-4 and the tailgaters are nowhere to be seen, slow on the straights they are back. Played nice until the tight stuff and decided to let some distance open up, left them like a bad habit.
El Chup sill amazes me.......

My favorite is Deep Purple. Machine Head.
But I'm just a Brit living in Oz!
Cheers

Iggy and the stooges, Metallica, Pennywise. Not always in that order, depends on mood.

Never once listened to music in my 911. Pulling out the stereo.

Much of my driving in modern cars has been to Coheed and Cambria as of late. Modern zep/yes.

I've been a huge AC/DC fan since Junior High. Nothing makes me want to guzzle beer more than H2H or Powerage.

But to say Angus plays the blues in the same league as Duane Allman? Thats like saying Phil Collins drumming is in the same league as Neil Peart!

Yup, that's just how good Angus is. Neil who? John Bonham or Keith Moon and we are talking.

It is a blast to add music to these cars. I'm not to stressed about the extra weight to get some good sounds. After all I'm not racing my car. For a real metal attack I usually go for Judas Priest "Unleashed in the East"
