front end question

i have an 83sc, pictured below.

i really don't like the way the fogs just stick out on their own. i have seen some with a slightly different front that (for lack of a better word) wraps around the fogs, like this (thanks dyhunter!):

can anyone tell me what year/model/part numbers that difference is? i am stocking up on things to change for the paint job this fall and would like this to be one of the new items. thanks.

They started this configuration in 1984, not sure on the part numbers.

I'm not an expert but I'm incline to think that there will be none, others should confirm or not. Actually on mine I'm thinking on deleting the fog lights altogether with the club sport valence.

Take care.

Hey (sorry to get a little off subject), what are the wheels on the silver car? Where can I get them and are they a direct fit for an '84 911?

The Carrera front valence actually bolts right on. If you get the Carrera bumper too, they have a slot on the bottom of the bumper and top of the valence to let more air onto the oil cooler in the RF fender.

It was on all Carreras from 84-89 and is MUCH better looking.

There are usually a variety in many colors on eBay.

Get one maybe that already has the rubber spoiler on it?

However - you need to replace the SC windshield washer bottle (in the LF fender in front of the tire) with the smaller Carrera washer bottle.

The horns and maybe the oil cooler (RF fender in front of the tire) may need to be moved slightly too.

The recessed foglights interfere with the above.

All the "Cup" type wheels will fit, but you need spacers to pull them away from the brakes and out to the the fender lip.

Need about 1 inch spacers in front and about 2 inch spacers in the rear.

Those would last about a week on normal roads before getting cracked or chipped. And, IMO not a good look. Those look like Carrera foglights.
