The rear bumper on my car has the big black blisters. Has anyone removed them and if so what does it look like. Any hints/suggestions would be appreciated.

Get the Euro ones.
Of course that's a slippery slope 'cause you'll then want to change the rear taillights, the fenders, add the rear fog light, change the instrumetation, etc... Euro spec cars just look SO much better. Yours is a beautiful looking US spec specimen though - not too many surviving US-spec 75-77 911s out there (those where the ones with the dreaded thermal reactors and 5-blade fans IIRC). I'm guessing yours was brought north at some point in its history, right? Canada can get Euro-spec stuff can't it?

This one came north from the Atlanta area about 10 years ago. Fully rebuilt engine and tranny done in Canada. No rust and runs beautifully. Just needs some cosmetic changes here and there.

Ya know... i wasn't going to put mine back on when I repainted my car last fall.
Sure glad I did tho. They serve a purpose. I hit the wall backwards at the track and these combined with the heavy aluminum bumper saved my car. I got the car into the paddock and climbed out to find only minor damage. I pressure washed out the mud and was back out on the track for the next session - a bit shaken - but back at it.

I might be the only one but I don't think they look bad at all. They fit really well with the overall design of the car IMO.

The Canadian cars were all the same as the US ones. We just might have a few more ROW units kicking around because anything 15 or more years old can be brought in with no hassles or meeting current MOT specs.

BTW, where are you located. From what I can see, that's not a bad looking rig.
Duh, I guess I could just look at the damn plate.
