Door Trigger un-happy
My passenger door's trigger is stuck in the pulled position, rendered useless from the outside.
Has anyone ever taken one apart and fixed this probelm? or am I in for for a 300 dollar new handle? Thanks for any tips ![]()

It's not that hard to take apart. However you have to take your door panel off to do it. The handle trigger is actually a pin that is probably stuck in the inner part of the locking mechanism.

What commonly happens is the trigger breaks. The trigger can be replaced separately. You need to get one from another handle though. I don't think they are available otherwise.
The handle is held in by 2 10mm nuts. Window must be rolled up. The rear-most nut is accessed through a hole in the door that has a little tape over it from the factory. Use 1/4 drive socket and extension. Piece o' cake. Hardest part is getting the door panel etc. off.
