Same here. Often very slow. And then not . . .

Ever since I saw Wayne's post about the server move.

I am using high speed from my cable provider (Shaw).
What anti virus package? I am using ESET.
I do not seem to have a problem on any other site, just this one....

Canada Kev 04-02-2010 08:26 AM

Shaw for me too. Again no issues on any other sites.

Canada Kev 04-02-2010 08:27 AM

OK, that post was quick but my last one two minutes ago was very slow ~30 seconds?

Ray_G 04-02-2010 08:33 AM

Same here again, last post I saw Wayne said he reset the server. I was good for about 4 days after that, it was very fast without the slow load times that happen now and then. But now it can be very slow to load once in a while, just like it used to be.

Qwest DSL

same inconsistant slow page loads here with high speed cable broadband isp.

i don't left click on posts anymore, it's just too frustrating.
instead, i right click on posts and then click "open in new tab" from the drop down menu.. then i go to any other website i like and all of them load fast and while on the other sites you can see when the pelican tab has finally loaded in the tab bar 30 seconds to a minute later, or not at all...

and then other times it works normal.

...doubt it will be fixed as long as there are 959 parts to be bought.

Same problems, seems worse on my iPhone than with Time Warner Cable at home.

tcar 04-02-2010 10:24 AM

Slow enough that sometimes I just give up at times. Glacial.

Sometimes, though, it's virtually instantaneous.

Qwest DSL. AOL.

Very slow intermittently on my end whether at work on a T-1 or at home on Comcast

All of those took less than a 1/2 second.

Are you guys using Internet Explorer or Firefox? I use Firefox and except for an occasional database slowdown that I can actually see on the server, the performance is very good.

Chrome on Rogers Cable in Canada. It is intermittent, Wayne.
