3.6 conversion: connecting oil piping to intake

Hi,

Im wondering - on the backside (close to firewall) of the intake on my 993 engine I have two connections for tubes appr. 1/2 ". One is connected to piping from the oiltank. But what about the other ??

Should it be blocked or open ?? It running fine open. But I guess I better install a small airfilter.

What have you guys done ??

Thanks
Peter

assuming you have a '95 non vram, here's what the hook ups look like

the big line from the oil filler neck goes to the intake and the other from under the fuel filter goes to the crankcase

But I have two connections on the intake. One more on the Intake distributor- that is below the one you show. (I dont see it on your picture) ??

What did you do to that one ??

Peter

well - we are getting closer.

On this pic you have both the pipes connected to the intake. (see the start of the red arrow) On the first pic, one of these are connected to the crankhouse.

???

It would help a lot for you to post a pic of what you have, otherwise we are guessing

do you have the SAI pump?

No not related to the SAI.
But we are allmost there now. On this pic the two connectors are visible (green arrow). And I can see the one not used is blocked. Any considerations behind this ?? why not open? Why thgis and not the other ??

ok - but you only have two lines from the oil filler neck?? And one goes to the crank house, so only one can goes to the these connections on the intake (green arrow) . My question is then - what about the other ??

Peter get a pic posted to remove the guesswork - you will get more responses and you can save your "Bill support tokens" for more complicated stuff further down the line, he's been there for most of us

I've been through this and there are many ways to skin the 3.6 cat so until we see what you have got we will just be playing 20 questions....

Alternatively there are TONS of pics posted form 3.6 conversion all over the board - have a search and find a relevant one and re-post it.

Good luck with the mission

yes I see. Pictures speaks a 1000 words.
I better take apart the intake again - and take me some nice pics this time. Will be back.

BTW: tried to seach like a mainiac. But this site does not allow us to search on "3.6" Needs at least 4 char per argument. Would have been nice with a separate "conversion" section

I'm not sure how many 'Bill support tokens' I might need or where to get them from? I've been watching all the 3.6 threads for a while and trying to save the tokens!

I'd like that too, this board is the best place for 3.6 conversions and yet you cant search for them.

Good luck sorting the plumbing, I'll be doing it shortly.
