Porsche Crest Howdee!!

Hello boys and girls. After spending a few days reviewing this forum I've decided that this must be THE place for Porsche obsessed individuals such as myself. I've spent the majority of my life lusting after a fat fendered 911 Turbo and after 42 long years I actually have one in my garage! This is my first Porsche so I'm sure I'll have lots of stupid questions. I've spent a lot of time modifying turbocharged Volvos over the last few years so K-Jet is no stranger. Plus I rebuilt just about every part of various 'mmmurican cars over the years. I guess it's safe to say that I know which end of a hammer to use. Anyway, my new baby is a 1985 930 turbo, black over black with fully polished Fuchs alloys. The engine and trans were rebuilt by the PO at 85k miles (it's now showing 90k). Like some of you I check the garage a least once before going to bed. My wife now call this "tucking the car in".

Thanks!
Steve B.

Clearly, you're one of us. There is no Porschephile's Anonymous. Just this support group here. We understand your sickness. Just don't expect us to attempt a cure.

Hi and congrats on your new hot 930!!

"Obsessed" was the correct term to use. I'm obsessed about very few things...but the porsche and our fat wrinkly dogs do fit into that category.

Looking forward to seeing a picture!!

Yeah, a pic would be nice. Feel free to use either the Pelican gallery to post, or my Owner's Gallery (link below). They both serve the need.

I think I have the NA version of your car - mine's a black on black Targa, with full polished Fuchs.

There are guys using this BBS (with a digital camera) who have solid, usable answers to posted questions/pics in a matter of frickin' minutes! It's enough to make a Porsche dealer cry!

Welcome and grab a beer!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll post a few pics tomorrow. Now I'm all upset... it's raining out and I have to drive the car home in the gook. I can see 3-4 washes per week in my very near future!
