Glenn,
You are correct. Bob Tilton just e-mailed me and said as much. The confusion stems from so many designs flying around, with various modifications done by different people. Both Leland and I thought (in good faith) it was Bob's design. I apologize for Bob and for you, and 82SC also. What now to do? Can I split the prize up? Can I offer my first born Siamese cat?

82SC 12-12-2001 08:32 PM

hey guys...wow lots been going on....

I've been in finals...just studied for 40 hours straight..slept 7 now back into the trenches....

hmmm...I don't mind about the prizes...how about this...if neither bob nor I have the 101 projects book, I will chip in the extra 10 and we can cover the shipping...or we can work something else out....

doesn't matter to me....I just like serving my...hmmm....intrest group?...car club?...I just like serving my master...

haha...

leland or anyone can contact me and I can get a high qualoty copy of the lettering to them...

MJ

the WDP was all made from the C in SC just modified...took a while to get right....

island911 12-12-2001 08:35 PM

Hmm, first born Siamese cat. I think I'll pass on that.. .already have 1.8 Siamese cat (It started out as 1 Siamese cat and just got fat!)
As i said, I think 82SC deserves th $50.

Doug Zielke 12-12-2001 08:42 PM

82SC,
Check your PM for my message of crow eating!
We will work something out, or I'll hang myself with a rusty clutch cable!

bob tilton 12-12-2001 09:48 PM

it's been a pleasure participating in SCWDP logo design.

Leland Pate 12-13-2001 02:10 AM

Um,... yeah Wayne ... I'll get right on that.

I wish! :(

Leland Pate 12-13-2001 02:13 AM

Um,... yeah Wayne ... I'll get right on that.

I wish! :(

I too got confused on who did what. The final design was based on several peoples imput. Everybody really contributed something. Sorry if anyone felt left out. Obviously it was no ones intention. Thanks again for all the submissions guys. You all have proved, once and for all that Porsche owners really do have too much time on their hands.

:)

82SC 12-13-2001 02:51 AM

not on the subject of the design...but leland...

some seats for your car maybe???

Description
These are a pair of black leather Sports Seats that were removed from a 1994 968. They are in perfectshape, all the motors work & switches. The seams on the seats are perfect too. No rips or tears. There are pictures on the website listed above. http://www.stuttgartparthaus.com/gallery/11Seats.JPG

I was going to email, but was not sure if you are getting email...but I know you have been posting so...

Leland Pate 12-13-2001 03:17 AM

Hey 82SC, thanks for the hot tip! I've emailed the gent so lets hope he replies.

Hey, if by some long shot, this works out, would anyone be willing to have the seats shipped to their home address first to inspect them and all since I am not home to do it?

I don't think I could just trust blind fate on a several hundred dollar, internet deal. I like to think people are honorable... most are luckily, but I have read horror stories of people still getting burned.

Those seats would be perfect... if he is willing to seperate them from the rears anyway.. :D Does anyone know if 968 rear seats can be adapted to the rear of a SC!?:D

Course, that would make my car like .5% waterpumper... :D
Thanks again for the link 82. ... not that there's anything wrong with 968s... I personally like them allot.

82SC 12-13-2001 07:23 AM

i can definately take a look...also I will keep my eyes out...let me know what you want...during my serches for 930 calipers and my own sports seats I have found some wreckage and salvages places in the knooks and crannies....

I got my near perfect seats for 600...I thik on ebay they are going for 1000-1400. I will keep my eyes open...let me know if you want the SC type or any sport seat will do...

2600+ views of the SCWDP thread!!!!!!!??????? This is getting out-of-hand and I call upon my early-911 brothers to rise up now and stamp this menace out, by any means necessary. We simply cannot allow safety-bumper equipped cars to become this popular. The stickers are only the beginning!

:D

Doug Zielke 12-13-2001 04:58 PM

No harm, no foul

It appears the mix-up regarding *who* designed the SCWDP sticker logo has (thankfully) been straightened out.

As island911 correctly indicated, the SC-style script logo was primarily the work of 82SC.

The magnanimous Mr.Tilton has accepted my apologies and insists the award go to 82SC. It will be done. Bob also has been gracious enough to provide his further assistance in getting the logo production ready. Stay tuned...

And yes, we can now get back to our "101 projects".
:)

It's never too late to convert. :D

"The stickers are only the beginning! " Robert, you're right..there really is no hope for those who prefer other 911 designs. We are outnumbered. But like Custer and his troops...we MUST fight to the last man.

We must band together - Vive la resistance!!!

MRM 12-13-2001 07:38 PM

Ok, this may have been the best post yet. The SCWDP remains the only organization I am willing to join voluntarily. Please, please PLEASE tell us when the stickers are printed and put out the word so that we can all buy them at one time, before any humorless men in dark suits (who probably drive BMWs) can write any nasty letters. I will buy as many as you'll allow as soon as they become available.

If the men in dark suits do contact anyone, I will volunteer my time pro bono to at least buy us enough time to distribute the product and allow our fearless leaders to escape into the hills.

Rufblackbird 12-13-2001 10:20 PM

I have what I believe to be two driver side leather sport seats. One power, one manual (I think). I'd be glad to sell it but don't have the damnedest idea how to ship them. UPS rips you a new ********* everytime you ship to and from Hawaii.

Is the Barley Wine I've been imbibing this evening taking effect....or has MRM forgotten to take his medication?

island911 12-14-2001 09:11 PM

It *Is* the Barley Wine, Doug
sigh. . It's always the Barley Wine.

Seriously, I think we're okay. . .could you Imagine the legalease letter from Porsche.

Dear Mr Pate,
Our legal dept. has informed us you have bastardized our 911 script in an effort to TAKE OVER THE WORLD.
We want in.

Porsche
