10 is the best...but the logo in color would make it great...

how about 12 with the crest placement of 10? i tend to dislike the look of rectangular stickers with no boundaries on cars. i vote to leave the crest in outline form.

I am starting to have problems deciding which one I like the best now!

What do you guys think of these?

82SC 12-10-2001 11:53 PM

with bob's permission I will try to incorporate the 2...I like the 911SC rear badge...maybe we can incorporate the two...

Hi,

So far I like Bob's design with the world - Number 8.
I had a similar idea, but Bob beat me too it. Its kinda 70s and looks cool I reckon. I have just noticed that Gemballa use something similar. I might do some variations if you dont mind Bob. :)

I had a quick play around and below is what I have come up with so far.

It still needs a bit of work. I am thinking it would need some changes to be suitable to be made into a badge to go on cars. I guess the black areas would be in brushed aluminium etc...
Oh, and I dont think my German flag colours are right, but hey it looks OK. :)

Anyway if people like it I could do some more mockups.

I've got a few more ideas that I'll put together when I have a chance.

Alex.

Another spin on other versions...

Hey Guys,

Your talking about a sophisticated car here so try and keep the design simple and stylish like Bob Tltons ideas. Don't make the sticker more important than the car!

Just my two devaluated Swedish kronor

Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob.........shouldn't your efforts look more like this?

Where are your loyalties man?

(I know, the "early s" logo is stolen, and probably copyrighted, don't shoot me)

I may be biased, but I think we need to show some respect for our heritage, the SC! On the 356s, the "SC" logo was in script and offset, like my avitar. Design is not my long suit, but I would suggest using a offset script for the "SC" and a different, bold typeface, but smaller font size, for the WDP.

I'm ready to put these stickers next to my PCA sticker on the rear quarter window. :D

what makes me laugh is all this talk about stickers?

who needs stickers...this is a new regime

we need flags, patches, breast plates, banners and catapults with the symbol branded into the wood...

so pick one already so we can annoint our new dictator and start taking over the world (a la pinky and the brain)

sheesh...come people focus...

That's too last millenium. What we need is a website! Then we'll have both PCNA and the FBI looking into our activities.

I don't have an opinion on the stickers, but I do have a small problem with the name of the organiziation.

"World Domination Plot" - sounds a little amateurish. like we're not taking this serious enough.

Here are a few alternatives to think about.

"World Domination Jihad" - the word "Jihad" has recieved a bit of bad press lately, but Leland has been in the desert and may have picked up some of the local customs.

"World Domination Scheme" - I think I've heard Al Gore say "risky tax scheme" too many times.

"World Domination Movement" -
"World Domination Crusade" --

Or perhaps

"Million SC March" --
"SC Coupe D'e Tat" -- unfairly excludes Targa's

. . .yeah, looks kinda early '70's!
Nice try at slipping early graphics in to our 78-83 line.

#4 is clean, looks good, and will not cause any issues with the Porche NA folks.
Let's just go with one of the designs!

#4. Very nice.

VenezianBlau 87 12-11-2001 08:57 AM

Wow! Our little group has some talented folks for sure. I look forward to the final design. Since I am an honorary SCWDP member per Leland, I don't think I have voting rights.

Noah: Funny Jihad reference. Reminds me of the "Jihad Joe" ad somebody sent me.

Jesus H. Christ that's funny. I'm dying over here!

I love this thread, and Orb just added the ultimate touch LOL

Geez you old guys are loosing it. I'm sure the early 70's were a big deal with the big shoes and the big collars but we're talking SC's here. . . .centered about 1981. Big hair and Polo shirts maybe. . .or perhaphs some Gold chain wear'n RunDMC- hommie types; but sheesh that guy looks like he just got out of his '73T.

wckrause 12-11-2001 10:12 AM

I like Leland's Deck Badge SCWDP image, but without the words. We should be able to fight about what SCWDP really stands for (it's part of the SC heritage).

Maybe we could get little "WDP" badges that can attach to the 911SC deck badge.
