How do you order a reprint of the original window sticker of your car?

As far as I know, you can't. The best you can do is mock up a reproduction; there are threads on this.

I talked to my dealer about this in 2007, and they said no dice. Apparently it is against the law for a manufacturer to reproduce a Monroney label.

While this is certainly possible, it is also the easiest cop-out for a lazy employee to make.

...think it's illegal for a Dealer or employee to do that.

Do a search, there was a guy on here last year or 2 doing that...

Not quite sure what the "obvious" reasons are for it being illegal. The car is 29 years old! it's not like I am going to attempt to try nad pass it off as new!

Window sticker questions

No, but someone unscrupulous might fake a window sticker to give a car options it never had originally - "M491" to legitimize an aftermarket widebody Carrera 3.2, for example. You'd have to be a real fool to take a window sticker at face value to support "collector" options, though - one can easily verify these through VIN checks against known production numbers or via Porsche's own COA, in some cases.

Cheers,

d.

Read the post about those that have the Certificate including myself. I'm sure its a "must have" to the new Porsche owner. I ordered mine a few months after I got my 89 about 13 years ago. I think back then it was $25? and I was thoroughly unimpressed. It looks like a sheet of typing paper with your cars vin and its options listed. If it was anything like a window sticker I wouldn't of complained. It sits in a pile of stuff in my garage somewhere.

When I acquired my 70, I emailed the dealership that delivered the car, Pon Porsche near Amsterdam, Netherlands and included the VIN with a request for any documentation on the car. Within 2 weeks, I received an email saying that they would send me a copy of the original build sheet. The build sheet lists all options, vin, base price, and final price.

the bigger problem is they are usually not accurate, and almost always very incomplete.

After I got mine about a month ago, I got a call telling me to let them know if there were any mistakes/omissions. There was one of each, but I haven't called them yet. I'll try to remember to call tomorrow, and will let you all know results.
