flares
I have a 71 911T targa that has some modifications, but I do have most of the original parts. It still has the 2.2 engine, 901 with factory LSD, 7" fuchs all round, and race seats. Recently, I purchased a set of SC flares and a pair of 8x15 fuchs to put on the car, now I am having second thoughts. Not that I ever plan to sell the car, but how much would this affect the value?

I say keep it original, unmolested long hood cars are becoming more hard to find and valuable with every year that goes by. If you want a hot rod sell the 71 and buy an SC or Carerra and modify to your heart's consent. Just my $.02.

If you don't plan to sell it, make it into the car you want to keep.

I agree, definitely keep it original unless the car is already heavily modified. This type of modification will only reduce resale value.
