Late 915 side cover swap
Hello guys,
I want to swap the side cover on one late 915 transmission with oil pump for an non-pump one. I can carefully remove the bearing race from the side cover and press it in the new one. What tolerances should I check for possible adjustment ? Thank you, Tasos ![]() |

Pinion depth shouldn't be an issue but I would think carrier bearing preload and pinion backlash should be checked before and after.
