John Walker - Where should I pick up the blk/trace prpl for MSD Install

Boys,

Where is the best place to splice in my MSD tach wire into the black/purple factory tach lead ? I'm thinking the harness from the CDI board which leads to the front of the car, but I'm not certain. Any input would be great. Thanks.

John Walker,

Your engine wire harness input was extremely helpful. Let me know if you have a liking for any cigars, beer, wine, weed(oops), etc. and I'd love to return the favor. The only remaining wire which was not mentioned in your respose was the blk/purple tach wire in question. You said there was an empty slot in the harness plug, do you think it should go there ? I'm thinking it doesn't matter due to the MSD. Please let me know. Thanks again.

rich, the tach wire for the turbo engine was in the 6 terminal CD plug, which went thru the 14 pin connector, and up to the tach. you don't have that. just slit the 70 harness and tap into the black/purple wire.
