Fuse Blowing

I found a blown fuse on my 85' and replaced it. Soon as I started the car it blew again. According to the Bentley this fuse should be for the Cigarette lighter, fresh air blower, read defogger. But the fresh air at least still seems to be working. Didn't check the other two. The cd changer for my car stopped working so I was checking fuses for that when I found this one blown. Oddly the Bentley doesn't list the radio fuse. Any idea what this fuse is for and why it is blowing?

No clue - not enough info.
If the CD changer was after market, no one would know to which fuse you or the PO connected it.

Can you provide the fuse block ID/location, fuse number, rating and affected items (if any other than the changer)?

even a pic

good luck

According to the Bentley, there is no '85 CKT for the radio.

However, the 86-69 shows fuse #1.

The fuse you appear to be replacing, is it #6?

#6 pulls up the rear window defogger relay, which in turn activated the elements,
the cig lighter, and fresh air blower.

Disconnect your radio, replace the fuse, and let's see what happens.

Good luck,

Gerry

Yes it is #6. Should the air still blow even with the blown fuse?

Anybody know how to track down why a fuse is blowing? I've had no luck so far and am not very sure where I should even be starting. Any help would be appreciated. Don't want to keep going through all these fuses.
