Dash, Heat and A/C vent question

I have a 78 SC, Im using the Bentley manual to help take the dash out but the pics in the manual and many of the screw locations don't match up. In the manual the vents are rectangular at the door sides of the dash, mine are about an inch wide, three inches tall and rotate. Have mine been changed out to another year? Or is this an option that just isn't shown in the Bentley?

The Bentley does indeed show an 86-89 dash cover.

The manual is famous for using generic photos for various applications.

Perhaps other posts to your thread will clarify your issue.

Also, do a search.

Your dash is correct for an SC and early Carrera. Small end vents.

Bentley updated as they went, I have an older Bentley and it shows the correct vents.
