I will agree that fitment issues were the most difficult to overcome
for me the turn signal/horn grill pieces were the most difficult. We are going to make our own going forward.
I believe we will make a buck for the sunroof panel, and for the short hood to a longhood in steel with the short hood latch also. I may start selling those we'll see, I have 5 that we are going to do now.
I am going to make my own bumpers from here out also. I kicked myself in the a** for not making molds from the last ones

Fiberglass parts are a pain. I had some of the best and some of the worst. Takes so much time to fix, sometimes its just worth spending the $ on the metal parts. Depends on your talent/time/money. My Backdate was nothing close to "restoration correct" and it was fun to do what I wanted. Made whatever changes I wanted because it would never be "correct" to the purists.

Elombard makes most of the points I would have.

Trim- Black vs Chrome
Period Correctness
Wheels- 16" is MAX on a backdated car IMHO
Rear muffler set up sits way too low for early bumpers, factor in modifying the tip or changing the whole set up.
Interior has so much that kind of "ruins" the backdate, but much of it is removable or easy to swap out. Pick the parts that effect you the most. I wanted green faced gauges, but 5 years later I don't think I will ever bother.

I ve posted it here before, but to get the horn grills to align correctly with everything else and (in my case) the fiberglass fenders was massive. I would likely choose metal if I had to do it over again. Sunroof delete was no walk in the park either. There were no fiberglass parts for some of my needs, so we modified off the shelf pieces to work. So much time....
