Cool Want an almost-complete 996 engine?

My local independent Porsche shop here in the Hudson River Valley (New York) has a 996 engine with 4,000 miles on it that they just pulled out of a customer's car to replace. The guy hit a curbstone of some sort when he parked and holed the crankcase. Saw the 20-foot-long puddle of oil when he came back to the car, so the engine was never restarted after the hit. Porsche apparently sells these engines only complete, not a short block, the tech tells me, so it's a remove-and-replace deal and the broken, totally complete (except for the hole...) engine is available. If anybody has any interest in it, e-mail me direct (stephwilkinson@worldnet.att.net) and I'll get some more info. I'm just the go-between.

Stephan
