i had the same problem...so I ignored it till I saw the drop menu on the side...set it for the past 100 days and you should see your hidden messages...I have to do this everytime I log onto my mailbox...

I had the same problem and solved it with the above. Click the drop down menu and select a greater range of days. My experience so far has been you have to do this everytime you get a private message no matter how recent.
